April Danbi Son is a Korean American writer & director based between NYC and Barcelona.
Her writing explores late coming-of-age stories through an unhinged, dark comedy lens often balancing existential dread with levity.
Sinners, her dark comedy TV pilot, recently won the The Script Lab competition out of 15,000 submissions. Gwisin, her short film, won Silver for the Young Director Award, Dreampitch category. She participated in Coverfly’s Writer Development Program.
When she’s not making films, you can find her kickboxing, playing chess, or missing her cats on vacation~
