April is a Korean American writer/director and producer based in NYC. As a 90s kid, she grew up replaying The Coen Brothers’ films on VHS and sneaking into the local movie theater.

Her work explores the sensation of being an outsider and finding one's unconventional place in the world.

Sinners, her dark comedy TV pilot, is currently a semifinalist for The Script Lab. The Shepherd, her short film, was featured on The Red List. She is the recipient of the CitizensNYC x Wells Fargo Grant.

When she’s not producing films, you can find her kickboxing, eating soup dumplings in Chinatown or filming her friends on Super 8.

Currently, she’s writing her first feature film.
